3 Night Snorkel & Dive Getaway – 9th October 2023
Underneath skies speckled with clouds, a small group of three embarked on their Ningaloo adventure. The ocean unveiled a vibrant underwater world teeming with life.
Swimming amongst us were schools of trevally, sweetlips, rabbitfish, bannerfish, batfish, angelfish, yellow-striped snapper, catfish, and humbugs, a riot of colors and movements beneath the surface. Occasional encounters with color-changing octopuses, and the warnings of territorial anemonefish guarding their fluttering homes, added a touch of intrigue to our journey.
Sleek reef sharks glided elegantly through the blue waters, gentle turtles floated past on the currents and carpet-like tasseled wobbegong sharks added an element of mystery to our underwater encounters. We marveled at the super shallow gardens of staghorn and plate corals, witnessing the kaleidoscope of marine life that these vibrant reefs support.
By day, the hues of blue surrounded us, and by night, the ocean transformed into a mesmerizing orange dreamscape. The highlight of our adventure was swimming alongside a long manta chain, a captivating dance of these majestic creatures beneath the waves.
