5 Night Ningaloo Escape – 23rd October 2022
Our last 5 night trip of the 2022 season was on 23rd October and although it was fairly windy for the whole trip we still managed to have a great time exploring the reef and visiting the local wildlife ?
The reef was its usual busy self and teaming with big schools of trevally, surgeonfish, buffalo bream, catfish, batfish and sweetlips. Our usual turtle friends also popped by slowly to have a swim with us as did the white tip reef sharks, mantas and the stingrays.
There were special cameos from a Goliath grouper and a leopard shark but what I love about this time of year (and it only seems to be October from experience) is the Wobbegong sharks head out and about swimming around instead of hiding and sleeping under ledges all the time.
All in a a big cheers to the Ningaloo Wildlife…
